Admissions Process

Admissions at Helaman Academy

A simple, personal process designed to ensure the right fit for both your child and your family. We intentionally limit enrollment to preserve a culture of academic excellence, strong character formation, and individualized instruction. Our program is built on mastery, faith, and high expectations, and we welcome families who share a commitment to rigorous learning and gospel-centered values. If you’re exploring Helaman, the next step is a brief conversation and a visit. We look forward to meeting you and beginning this partnership together.

Open to All Families

While Helaman Academy is grounded in Latter-day Saint values and traditions, we welcome families of all faiths and backgrounds who seek academic excellence, strong character development, and moral education.

  • Current immunization record: or exemption documentation, if applicable

  • Basic independence appropriate to age: self-care habits, following routines, respectful behavior

  • Children at eligible for Kindergarten if 5 years old by September 1 in the State of Nevada.

Educational Consultation & Student Assessment

An educational consultation and student assessment gives families a chance to experience the Helaman difference. It also provides clarity on expectations, placement, and how we can best support your child’s educational goals.

This meeting allows you to ask questions, understand our academic approach, and ensure a strong foundation from the very beginning.

A meeting with a Helaman administrator and a student assessment are required for all prospective students prior to enrollment.

During this process, we review academic readiness, learning needs, and placement options to determine the most appropriate starting level for each student.

Joining Helaman Academy

Families are notified in writing once acceptance and placement are finalized. Placement is based on academic readiness, student motivation, and alignment with Helaman’s culture and expectations.

Because we are intentional about class size and fit, assessment and application do not guarantee acceptance.

When families are invited to join Helaman, this marks the beginning of something special. By choosing this path, you are placing your child in a sanctuary of light and truth.  Helaman's environment is built to develop confidence, character, and capability. Choosing Helaman reflects thoughtful, intentional parenting, and we are honored to partner with you in shaping your child’s future.
